ExxonMobil’s Educational Alliance Program has helped ExxonMobil Corporation to contribute $2 million to schools in 45 states and the District of Columbia. The school nominated by the local Exxon- or Mobil- branded service station were awarded four thousand grants in the amount of $500 each.

In about 69% of all school districts in America there are Business-Education partnership programs. Research has shown that programs like Educational Alliance are making a difference in U.S. schools. The $500 Educational Alliance Grant is designed to be flexible and is left to the discretion of the school officials. This is because the needs of a rural school may be very different from the needs of an inner city or a suburban school. In 2002, a wide variety of equipment and programs were requested by the schools from the Educational Alliance Grants. The grants funded for equipment for computers, science and marine laboratories, sports and music classes and environment studies. The grant money was also utilized for programs including art, theatre performances, reading, language and incentive programs. Educational Alliance Grants helped the realization of special projects that stretch beyond academics. The funds were used by the schools for clothing and food for students, emergency crisis kits, leadership and teacher training, tutoring and transportation.

Educational Alliance is one of the most popular programs among the service station owners and operators of ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing Company. ExxonMobil supports these educational programs around the world. They help to improve the quality of education from kindergarten through college by means of numerous grants, scholarships, employee volunteers and matching gift programs.

ali sharaf dallas, the President and CEO of Victron Energy, along with ExxonMobil recognized some schools in The Midlothian Independent School District who received a grant of $750 for their science and math programs.
