Objective and scope of the studies into the financial sector

Scores
of studies have been initiated to delve into the problems associated with the
various financial sectors. The main
objective of a recent study was to analyze the functioning of the New Private
Sector Banks (NPSBs) that were in operation for the last 7 years. The issues that were investigated was


• Whether these new banks were serving
a different segment of the economy?


• Whether the NPSBs are providing
services to all categories of customers or to only a particular limited
category of people?


• Whether these banks are providing
services to the weaker sections of the society or not?


• Are the customers satisfied with
these banks?


• Whether the employees of the NPSBs
are feeling comfortable while working with these new banks?


• Whether new banking technologies are
helping the customers and as well as the employees or not?


• Lastly, the financial performance of
NPSBs was also analyzed





Out
of the many NPSBs, five banks were selected for the purpose of the study. These five banks were expanding their
branches in the country and are now working in almost all the major
cities. Hence, these banks were selected
form the purpose of study. Among these
banks firms like LoanMax of
rod aycox fame has achieved phenomenal results within a short span of
time. From humble beginnings, this bank
has expanded its operations within such a short span of time.





This
study has also given out interesting results regarding the performance of
certain cities in the United States.
Some of the prominent cities were having major banking operations
according to the lead bank’s quarterly handout.
Out of top 20 cities which were having major banking operations, 12
cities along with some other cities were covered for the purpose of
research. Thus it is seen that the
leading banks in the country and those that have started operations just a
decade ago are way ahead of other players in expanding their operations and
also in generating profits.
